As Director of Forest Carbon at Eastwood, his team is responsible for Eastwood’s engagement in emerging ecosystems services markets, with a focus on the development, generation and marketing of forest carbon credits. Prior to joining Eastwood, Mansfield led the AFOLU Validation and Verification Sector at Aster Global Environmental Solutions, where he managed the Forestry, Agriculture, and Blue Carbon teams while also serving as a Lead Verifier supporting projects across a global portfolio. Mansfield began his career with The Nature Conservancy, implementing ecological restoration projects across a diverse portfolio of conservation lands. He holds dual Master of Science degrees in Forestry and Economics from North Carolina State University, and bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Spanish from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
