Kate supports transactions and valuation work for forestland investments, bringing experience in timber and carbon markets, forest valuation, and portfolio analytics. Prior to joining Eastwood Forests, she worked in portfolio management and operations at Aurora Sustainable Lands, where she supported appraisal review, asset performance analysis, and harvest planning across a portfolio of natural hardwood forests and forest carbon projects. Kate developed her foundation in forestry investment through fieldwork, consulting projects, and internships in the timberland investment sector. Before her career in forestry, Kate served as a Peace Corps Environmental Management Advisor in Jamaica, contributed to reforestation initiatives in Haiti, and managed the AmeriCorps VISTA program with NC Cooperative Extension in Wake County.

Kate holds a BA in Economics and International & Global Studies from The University of the South, as well as a Master of Forestry and MBA with a concentration in Finance from Duke University.
