Dave has over 36 years of experience in forest management. As Director of Forest Carbon at Eastwood, his team is responsible for Eastwood’s engagement in emerging ecosystems services markets, with a focus on the development, generation and marketing of forest carbon credits.

Prior to employment with Eastwood, he served as Regional Director of Carbon, GIS and Inventory for The Forestland Group following 18 years as their Great Lakes Region Director of Forest Operations, with responsibility for 550,000 acres in Michigan and Ontario, Canada.

Beginning his forestry career in 1986, Dave has also served as Forestry Coordinator and District Manager for International Paper Company where he directed forestry operations on 230,000 acres of forestlands. His experience also includes forestry instruction at Michigan Technological University.

Dave has a BS in forestry from Michigan Technological University, where he also pursued post-graduate studies in Wildlife Management. He is a Registered Forester in Michigan, a Certified Forester with the Society of American Foresters and a member of the Forest Stewards Guild. He currently holds positions on the steering committees of the Northern Forest Birds Network, Forestry for Michigan Birds and the Cross Border Bird Conservation Initiative (Canada/US).
